~ Our Beautiful "HavanaSilky" Pups Will Be 2 Wks. Old Tomorrow & Oh, So Precious!!! ~

Our 3 adorable HavanaSilky pups (2 females/ 1 male) have grown alot in just 2 weeks. They were born on Sat. May 2nd to proud Silky Terrier Mom, my Chrisi Bear, and to their loveable, gorgeous Havanese Sire, JJ, or his Registered name, Sir Jumpin' Jack Flash. Both Sire and Dam are Registered through APRI/ CKC/ & ACA, and their Pedigree is "Awesome"!!! The 3 HavanaSilky pups will also come w/ Registration papers to 2 Kennel Clubs & w/ their own Outstanding Pedigree! You don't always find Designer/ Hybrid pups that are eligible to be Registered and come w/ a Pedigree, too! These pups will be absolutely beautiful, and will have wonderful temperments! This is my 4th litter of HavanaSilky pups...they are very, very RARE and the people who own all my other HavanaSilkys from past litters absolutely love them to death.

Pictured in this entry is our chocolate-sable Female (Purple), the smallest of the litter at this date. *** At the end of May we are expecting another litter of HavanaSilkys, and then at the end of June we will be excited to anticipate Lulu's litter of Silky Terriers. BREED INFORMATION

A Kissing-cousin to the Yorkshire Terrier, the Silky Terrier has a coat that is extremely similar, although not quite so long. The Silky's have a very lustrous haircoat that is NON-SHEDDING.Unlike other terriers, this cheerful little dog was not bred to do any particular hunting job, but purely, and most agreeably, to be a companion animal. Nevertheless, its terrier blood shows through in its active, assertive nature, and in the skill it displays killing vermin in its nature country.Sydney was the birth place of the breed, which was known at one time simply as the "Sydney Silky". Australian and Yorkshire Terriers were used as a part of an intricate cross-breeding program to produce a dog that combined the best features of both types. The carefully determined result must be counted as a modern success story. The Silky Terrier was first shown in Australia in 1907, Britain in 1930, and was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1933. The Silky is a pretty, lively and intelligent animal that is quick to warn of the presence of strangers. It makes an ideal watchdog and pet for town dwellers with small apartments, but also enjoys country strolls. Terrier in spirit, if not in practice, the Silky is an ideal pet for those who want a small companion with a big heart.
