This sweet little 6 wks. old golden-sable "HavanaSilky" pup has recently been Reserved by a wonderful family from Alabaster, Al. Judy, Bonnie, Sara & Travis will absolutely LOVE this sweet-hearted little pup, and he will be their "Forever Best 4-Legged Friend"!!! He's sooo lucky to be going to live with them, his 4 cats & his very own horse!! This little fella' will have plenty of running around room on 10 acres with his own little lake!!! We are so happy that Judy found us!!! They have found their "Perfect" Puppy to love, play with, and be their wonderful, devoted companion!!! He is definitely a real lucky cutie pie!!! We are happy for you!!!

A Kissing-cousin to the Yorkshire Terrier, the Silky Terrier has a coat that is extremely similar, although not quite so long. The Silky's have a very lustrous haircoat that is NON-SHEDDING.Unlike other terriers, this cheerful little dog was not bred to do any particular hunting job, but purely, and most agreeably, to be a companion animal. Nevertheless, its terrier blood shows through in its active, assertive nature, and in the skill it displays killing vermin in its nature country.Sydney was the birth place of the breed, which was known at one time simply as the "Sydney Silky". Australian and Yorkshire Terriers were used as a part of an intricate cross-breeding program to produce a dog that combined the best features of both types. The carefully determined result must be counted as a modern success story. The Silky Terrier was first shown in Australia in 1907, Britain in 1930, and was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1933. The Silky is a pretty, lively and intelligent animal that is quick to warn of the presence of strangers. It makes an ideal watchdog and pet for town dwellers with small apartments, but also enjoys country strolls. Terrier in spirit, if not in practice, the Silky is an ideal pet for those who want a small companion with a big heart.
