Dori's 5 wk. old HavanaSilky golden-sable male cutie is looking for just the right person or family to call his own!!! Whoever gets this adorable little guy will be very LUCKY!! He will favor his gorgeous creamy-sable Havanese Sire, my JJ, Sir Jumpin' Jack Flash, as the Sire has the dominant genes over the Dam (mother) of a litter. My Silky Terrier (similar to a Yorkie) Adorable Isabella (Dori) is the mother of the litter....Dori is so special, petite, and "Spunky". Her nickname is my little "Dixie Chick"...such a Diva!!! This pup, as well as his darker-sable brother in the entry above will be @ 6-10 lbs. as adults, and their haircoats will lighten up alot to a creamy-silver-sable coloration as do their parents' haircoat.

Price for either "HavanaSilky" male pup is $ 500.00 total with a non-refundable Deposit of $200.00 due when you Reserve your Rare and Adorable pup! The puppies will be able to go to their new owner/ homes when they are 8 wks. old which will be the weekend of March 6th/7th.

BREED INFORMATION

A Kissing-cousin to the Yorkshire Terrier, the Silky Terrier has a coat that is extremely similar, although not quite so long. The Silky's have a very lustrous haircoat that is NON-SHEDDING.Unlike other terriers, this cheerful little dog was not bred to do any particular hunting job, but purely, and most agreeably, to be a companion animal. Nevertheless, its terrier blood shows through in its active, assertive nature, and in the skill it displays killing vermin in its nature country.Sydney was the birth place of the breed, which was known at one time simply as the "Sydney Silky". Australian and Yorkshire Terriers were used as a part of an intricate cross-breeding program to produce a dog that combined the best features of both types. The carefully determined result must be counted as a modern success story. The Silky Terrier was first shown in Australia in 1907, Britain in 1930, and was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1933. The Silky is a pretty, lively and intelligent animal that is quick to warn of the presence of strangers. It makes an ideal watchdog and pet for town dwellers with small apartments, but also enjoys country strolls. Terrier in spirit, if not in practice, the Silky is an ideal pet for those who want a small companion with a big heart.
