"Southern's Wroyal Princess Daisy" {Dam} is a striking Black w/ Silver Points Coloration. She is AKC Registered, with an Outstanding Pedigree full of European lines which is the very finest Havanese Bloodlines. Daisy is very loving, sweet, and adores people. She loves going on walks with me, and really enjoys playing fetch with her mate, BB. Princess Daisy is crate trained for night and is pad trained to a "T" inside my home. I take my 2 Havanese out several times a day for fresh air, exercise, play, and to "potty". Havanese make wonderful family dogs and are known for being very good with children, having very gentle, kind spirits. Havanese are very smart, easily trained, have FuN dispositions... they'll make you Smile and Laugh constantly. A Kissing-cousin to the Yorkshire Terrier, the Silky Terrier has a coat that is extremely similar, although not quite so long. The Silky's have a very lustrous haircoat that is NON-SHEDDING.Unlike other terriers, this cheerful little dog was not bred to do any particular hunting job, but purely, and most agreeably, to be a companion animal. Nevertheless, its terrier blood shows through in its active, assertive nature, and in the skill it displays killing vermin in its nature country.Sydney was the birth place of the breed, which was known at one time simply as the "Sydney Silky". Australian and Yorkshire Terriers were used as a part of an intricate cross-breeding program to produce a dog that combined the best features of both types. The carefully determined result must be counted as a modern success story. The Silky Terrier was first shown in Australia in 1907, Britain in 1930, and was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1933. The Silky is a pretty, lively and intelligent animal that is quick to warn of the presence of strangers. It makes an ideal watchdog and pet for town dwellers with small apartments, but also enjoys country strolls. Terrier in spirit, if not in practice, the Silky is an ideal pet for those who want a small companion with a big heart.
