Both Girls SOLD- We Will Be Saying "Good-Bye" To Our Sweet Emma & Angel Later This Week!

Two of our precious 7 wk. old female pups will be leaving us later in the week for their new homes, ready to start their new happy lives! We will miss them so much, but they are more than ready to begin the next phase of their lives!

"Cecilia's Majestic Angel" pictured in the first 2 pics, will be going to Huntsville, Al. to live with Cecilia and her other Silky fella' Bo. We wish them the BEST, and we hope Bo "Falls Head Over Heels" for his future wife! Stay in touch and send us pics of the "Happy Couple" from time to time! Southern Silky Terriers will really miss our darling Angel!

"Enchanted Emmaline Oliver" will be headed soon to her new home in Marietta, Ga. to be The Olivers' baby girl! We know Emma is going to have a wonderful, fulfilled life, and be one little HAPPY Silky girl! Good Luck, we'll miss you, you are a real sweetie! BREED INFORMATION

A Kissing-cousin to the Yorkshire Terrier, the Silky Terrier has a coat that is extremely similar, although not quite so long. The Silky's have a very lustrous haircoat that is NON-SHEDDING.Unlike other terriers, this cheerful little dog was not bred to do any particular hunting job, but purely, and most agreeably, to be a companion animal. Nevertheless, its terrier blood shows through in its active, assertive nature, and in the skill it displays killing vermin in its nature country.Sydney was the birth place of the breed, which was known at one time simply as the "Sydney Silky". Australian and Yorkshire Terriers were used as a part of an intricate cross-breeding program to produce a dog that combined the best features of both types. The carefully determined result must be counted as a modern success story. The Silky Terrier was first shown in Australia in 1907, Britain in 1930, and was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1933. The Silky is a pretty, lively and intelligent animal that is quick to warn of the presence of strangers. It makes an ideal watchdog and pet for town dwellers with small apartments, but also enjoys country strolls. Terrier in spirit, if not in practice, the Silky is an ideal pet for those who want a small companion with a big heart.
