Our Gorgeous Dam and Handsome Sire of our Christmas Litter!!!!

Please meet our wonderful adult Silky Terriers that are the Sire and Dam of our Silky Christmas pups....Bonnie's Enchanted Lil' LuLu is the beautiful mother and Bonnie's Lil' Sonny Boy Prince is the father to the puppies. They are wonderful examples of the Silky Terrier Breed....meeting all breed standards. They grew up together as playmates and "Adore" each other!!! These Silky puppies will be so beautiful with such gorgeous parents that come from Champion bloodlines. They are registered CKC/ ACA/ APRI/ and have their Pedigree with APRI. LuLu is pictured 1st, and Sonny Boy is in the 2nd picture.

BREED INFORMATION

A Kissing-cousin to the Yorkshire Terrier, the Silky Terrier has a coat that is extremely similar, although not quite so long. The Silky's have a very lustrous haircoat that is NON-SHEDDING.Unlike other terriers, this cheerful little dog was not bred to do any particular hunting job, but purely, and most agreeably, to be a companion animal. Nevertheless, its terrier blood shows through in its active, assertive nature, and in the skill it displays killing vermin in its nature country.Sydney was the birth place of the breed, which was known at one time simply as the "Sydney Silky". Australian and Yorkshire Terriers were used as a part of an intricate cross-breeding program to produce a dog that combined the best features of both types. The carefully determined result must be counted as a modern success story. The Silky Terrier was first shown in Australia in 1907, Britain in 1930, and was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1933. The Silky is a pretty, lively and intelligent animal that is quick to warn of the presence of strangers. It makes an ideal watchdog and pet for town dwellers with small apartments, but also enjoys country strolls. Terrier in spirit, if not in practice, the Silky is an ideal pet for those who want a small companion with a big heart.
